I am enjoying a little vacation time this holiday season and thought I would attempt to sleep in today. I awoke to the phone ringing, thinking it was Chad I picked up and gave it my best drowsy hello. My gut dropped when my Social Worker said hi. For just a split second I thought, "This is IT, THIS IS IT, THIS IS IT!" She never calls, never. We have maybe talked with her 10 times this year. "THIS HAS TO BE IT!"
It wasn't IT. It was her saying "Happy Holidays and I am sorry we didn't have a referral for you this Christmas." I am sorry too.
